In 1994, under the able leadership of Mr. Bharat Shah, the mission acquired a concrete shape in the form of Amit Spinning industries Ltd. (ASIL) Despite being the youngest member of the KT Group, ASIL is the result of 50 years of accumulated wisdom gained from the textiles industry. Keeping the founding guidelines in focus, ASIL has rapidly made progress and is already known as a quality player in the textiles industry.ASIL has been accorded the 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) status by the Govt. of India.
The success of ASIL can be gauged by the fact that it has instant brand recognition in countries like Korea, Australia, Mauritius, Canada, Egypt, Etc. The State Govt. of Maharashtra awarded the export efforts of ASIL by giving it the "Certificate for Export Recognition" for the year 1996-97. Surely the continued growth signals the success of the mission guidelines.
In order to directly involve our customer in the process of yarn manufacturing, we have restructured our marketing department into three clearly defined areas: marketing strategy, customer services and production planning & dispatch. The marketing team along with along with our R&D personnel constantly interact with our customers. They regularly visit the customer's plant to learn about their requirement right from the shop floor. Another example of customer interaction is the agent and customer survey program that is conducted for the purpose of continuous improvement.
Constant training is imparted to all personnel to achieve Excellence in Service Quality, satisfy Customers changing needs through innovation and continuously upgrade skills. A constant effort is made to incorporate the corporate philosophy of caring empathetically for the customer into ASIL's daily working.
