To be quality focused, one requires continuous scrutiny and control that is never relaxed, nor compromised. ASIL has a fully air-conditioned, well-equipped and most modern laboratory with the testing equipment to control incoming cotton, outgoing yarn and intermediate process at various stages. This lab is equipped with a state-of-the-art High Volume instrument (HVI) to measure cotton characteristics, an Advanced Fiber Information System (AFIS) Module which measures the neps generated or removed at every stage of the process and a Maturity Module which measures the maturity of the cotton fiber. It also has an Uster Tester III, a single yam Strength Measuring Device Tensorapid, Classifault (Clasimat II), Ring Data and centralised, on-line classification of the yam from Autoconers. Each lot of yam is tested for shade variation under UV light and frequently the yarn Is knitted Into fabric to see the fabric appearance, machinability as well as dyeing properties of the yam. These technologies and systems for process control play a major role in achieving a level of 5% Uster World Standard.

ASIL now has its own captive power plant which provides consistent quality power that in turn maintains consistency in process. Excellent maintenance and housekeeping are important ingredients in a quality conscious recipe. We recently won the award for being the best in Safety and Housekeeping from the Kolhapur Safety Council. It is not a surprise then that ASIL got the ISO 9002 Quality Management astern accreditation from SGS Yaresely, UK, a world renowned name in quality standards. ASIL is now with the elite few that have been given this global recognition for having the highest quality systems and standards.
